Instinct’s client is a leading educational organisation which boasts a wide portfolio of excellent learning programmes, awards, and certifications within its specialist field. Having undergone significant growth and transformation in recent years, they are now seeking to recruit a Director of Learning Technologies to lead in all aspects of the organisations growth plans within their current learning operations, projects, and plans for the future.
The role holder will be responsible for all aspects of learning technology which supports the continued production of high quality programmes and certificates, including but not limited to learning management systems, publishing platforms and tools, and content management systems. Aside from this, the successful candidate will be leading a team of learning technologists, maintaining and forming close relationships with key stakeholders, as well as supporting a wide range of teams and faculties across the organisation. This role is most suited to a person who is committed to the development and review of new ways of working to continue the transformation the organisation is currently undergoing, while also being able to work alongside some of the more traditional elements of the company.
The ideal person will have experience:
- Publishing and production of courses, qualifications, certificates etc. and thorough knowledge of XML/XSLT
- Managing a team of Learning Technology professionals
- Overseeing Learning Management Systems/Content Management Systems
- Some technical knowledge/background and understanding of developments e.g., HTML, CSS, XML
- Understanding of adult learning theories and design frameworks
- Improving organisational processes
Aside from a competitive salary of up to £98,000 per annum, the successful candidate will receive a 12% pension, remote working with ad hoc travel, a discretionary annual bonus, private healthcare, and much more!
