Our client is a leading professional body who provide a wealth of accredited programmes and qualifications for professionals in their specialist sector. They have a global base of members they represent, and they work to shape the standards of practice in the industry. They work to create high quality education products available in multiple languages, and are now on the lookout for a Content Production Lead to translate a current programme offerings from English to Simplified Chinese.

The purpose of the role will be to translate existing products with input from bilingual subject matter experts (SMEs), primarily professors, who handle the content translation. The translated content must then be effectively integrated into the organisations Canvas LMS, ensuring everything is accessible and correctly laid out on-screen. The role also involves light project management responsibilities, such as identifying specific pieces of content (e.g., artwork or text) that require translation, liaising with the artist for updates, and placing the final assets in the correct Canvas locations. The existing content will serve as a base, but adjustments will be needed to adapt it for a Mandarin-speaking audience. This includes tasks such as tweaking learning design (LD) elements and content production to align with Chinese reading standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Proficiency in Canvas LMS with experience adapting content for diverse audiences.
  • Bilingual: Fluent in written Chinese (Simplified) and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin dialect when required.
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and how to present content appropriately for a Chinese audience.
  • Experience creating Canvas content in English with professor feedback integrated.
  • Ability to deliver written content accurately in Simplified Chinese while addressing any required professor communication in Mandarin.
  • Proven project management skills with a strong focus on meeting deadlines, taking ownership, and delivering results as expected.

Aside from having the opportunity to work in a well-regarded, global professional body, this individual will also receive a competitive daily rate and a fully remote working offering.
