Learning Technologist (student-facing)

Instinct’s client is a highly acclaimed higher education provider in London who are leading specialists in their sector. They are looking for an experienced Learning Technologist to join their collaborative team and operating in a student-facing support capacity for various online learning systems and solutions in place. The ideal person will come from an the Higher Education sector and be well versed in working with academics to support with various learning and assessment provisions such as working on the helpdesk and responding to issues with bespoke training resources. Aside from this, the ideal candidate will be personable and collaborative, with a willingness to assist others through excellent communication and support.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- Higher Education experience
- Experience/ability to manage and supervise Digital Learning Champions to provide support to staff/students across the college
- Providing pastoral care, training where necessary, arranging/delivering sessions, focus groups
- Ability to engage staff, run sessions and build confidence in supporting students
- Proactive with highly personable nature
- Strong experience with Moodle; dealing with support requests, student queries etc
Further desirable skills would include:
- Creative/design skills to identify opportunities and to develop existing/new content and resources using multimedia (proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, graphic design, video editing, etc.)
- Experience Scripting, storyboarding and developing Digital Learning content
- Sound knowledge and application of learning design methodologies
- Good with reports (data analytics)
- Experience and knowledge of developing tools or application such as Captivate, H5P
